So I'm sure like a lot of people I have been having a really rather stressful week.
I have been trying to get my FMP shot for over a month now and everything just kept getting canceled. I had to find new models about million times due to, them being stuck abroad, not telling that they had a new haircuts etc... A shoot was planned for last Tuesday but due to the designer telling me at the last minute that he had put all/the majority of his collection into the tailors so I had to cancel.
I finally managed to secure two models, who amazingly were a real couple. Perfect for my concept. Everything was sorted and we planned to shoot yesterday. I waited all week for something to go wrong because that kinda seems to be a trend at the moment.
On Friday morning I contacted all involved to make sure that we were all set......here we go again. My male model was ill and it was likely that he wouldn't be able to make the shoot. Not something that can be helped and is nobody’s fault so I set about trying to replace him.
I then called my designer to arrange the collection of his garments, that was sorted and my dad was a super star and said he would drive and collect them for me as I was busy hunting for a new male model. About an hour later I received a text from my designer letting me know that after his show the night before his models has worn his collection home and he wasn't sure he would be able to recover them all for the shoot?!?!?!?! Eventually he managed to recover a few items and my dad picked them up knowing there was chance that they would never get worn as I still hadn't managed to replace my male model. Love my Dad.
As it got later on Friday I came to the conclusion that I wasn't going to be able to replace my male model so I started to try and come up with a concept for a shoot with just my female model.
My next worry was the weather.....this is England after all.
So yesterday I shot my FMP. I shot Molly who was amazing and put up with the cold/rain/wind and done a super job. My stylist Jess done the best job. I was so happy with the looks she put together and she also put up with the horrid weather, concept changes and frantic phone calls from me all week. The hair & make up was done by Oonah who was lovely and done a great job.
I shot on Polaroid and 35mm...my Polaroids didn’t seem to develop properly but I have an awesome setting on my scanner that does colour restoration so this has made them a little clearer. I am SO worried about getting my films developed....it was horrid and grey and I really don’t want them to be all dark and rubbish. I’m worried they won’t even come out after the luck I’ve been having.
Tomorrow morning is going to be SCARY getting my films developed. Please say a little prayer for me that they come out well and that my string of bad luck is over.
Over and out.
